Perhaps you would like to know how our retreat concept came about? Otjoruharui is the second farm owned by the Thiessen family, who have been raising cattle since 1944. This will continue to be the case in the future. In 2015 we, Reimer and Christiane Thiessen, handed over the agricultural business to our son Johann. Because we felt too young to retire at the time, we wanted to start something completely different. We always had a dream: to offer our Namibian fellow citizens and visitors from overseas a quiet place to relax from the challenges of everyday life.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>

    We had already started to realize our dream, when suddenly, in April 2018, my dear husband Reimer passed away. For some time I was unable to take our plans further. When I finally had the strength to take a decision, it was quite a challenge. But now, in early 2020, I am very happy that I can now \u201c live our dream\u201d for both of us. I therefore welcome you to come to Otjoruharui and experience what I and our land have to offer.<\/p>\n

    It is from this beautiful home completely surrounded by greenery, this authentic Namibian farm house takes you close to nature and helps you rejuvenate.<\/p>\n

    Perfect for couples, small families, or group of friends – a private little home as your own with home cooked food provided all day<\/p>\n

    You can experience comfortable and relaxing stay in our beautiful little home, surrounded by nature. Plenty of relaxing nature everywhere.<\/p>\n

    Best part of the stay, as per guests who have visited us, is the home cooked food prepared by Christine with most ingredients from our organic farm.<\/p>\n

    Breakfast is included in the price. Other meals are charged at N$ 250 per person per delicious meal. All meals will be prepared and served from our main home which is in the adjacent plot. There is a kitchen in this home which you are welcome to use, if you’d like to cook something of your own, though we recommend you just relax and let us take care of you.<\/p>\n

    House has ample caping facilities if you want o be just on your own. There is also a well-maintained cattle shed in the backyard which adds to the authenticity of this farm house.<\/p>\n

    There is plenty to see around the house as we also have an organic farm garden with a farm pond to swim . I will be happy to show you around, and our farm is great for biking enthusiasts early morning morning walks.<\/p>\n<\/div>
